Do You Really Need to Create New Content Daily?
The short answer is NO.
People need to hear the same message multiple times before they take action. What seems repetitive to you is often fresh to your audience.
They need to see your posts a few times to really absorb the message and decide to engage with the opportunity you're presenting.
And lets be honest we ourselves cannot even remember what we posted last week.
And our audience doesn't either.
Its okay to repeat yourself
90% of the people that saw your post will probably forget it.
85% of your audience probably didn't even see it (thanks algorithm)
And 0% of your future followers have not seen it.
The Power of Repurposing Content
I repurpose my posts all the time.
Using the same videos with different captions or the same captions with different videos can keep your content fresh without starting from scratch.
When you find a post that works—meaning it gets good engagement or brings in followers—reuse it until it stops working.
I keep an eye on my notifications, and as soon as a once-successful post starts losing traction, I tweak and repost it.
Top Tips for Saving Time on Social Media :
-
Pick Your Core Topics: Choose 3-5 topics within your niche that you want to talk about regularly. Focus on these topics and post about them on repeat. This keeps your content consistent and relevant. And also focuses on your ideal target audience.
-
Repurpose Winning Content: When you have a reel or post that performs well, reuse it with minor tweaks. Change up the video or adjust the caption slightly. This keeps your content fresh without the extra effort.
-
Find Inspiration and Save It: Spend 30-60 minutes each week researching content that works. When you see a high-engagement post, screenshot it and save it in an album for future inspiration. I have an album labeled "Instagram ideas" that I always go to for inspiration.
-
Reuse Captions: Create a folder with your best-performing caption texts and reuse them. I rarely write new captions unless I'm teaching something specific. For content aimed at attracting new followers, I stick to tried-and-tested descriptions. Next time you create a post, just copy and paste to save time.
-
Analyse and Optimise: Check your social media analytics monthly to identify your best-performing posts. These are the ones you’ll want to repurpose, especially those that bring in new followers. Consistently using top-performing content helps grow your page effectively.
- Use Automation: I’m a big advocate for optimizing time. In fact, I offer an entire training on time maximisation for my students. Automating processes like responding to DMs and sharing lead magnet URLs can be set up so you can generate leads and sales even while you sleep. I use Manychat for this.
By getting clever about your content creation and focusing on repurposing and automating, you can save a ton of time and still keep your audience engaged.
Remember, it’s all about working smarter, not harder.
Happy posting!
